favourite 'h' songs

courtesy of [info]lawgrrl_23, i present my five favourite songs that start with the letter 'h'. if you want me to throw you a letter, comment.

1. 'ring of fire', johnny cash:

Love is a burning thing
and it makes a fiery ring
bound by wild desire
I fell in to a ring of fire...

yeah, tell me, who cannot relate to that?

2. 'right here waiting', richard marx:

I wonder how we can survive
This romance
But in the end if Im with you
I'll take the chance

again, who has not been here at some point in their life? i kind of distance myself from this song now, but there's been a time or two i've felt just like this guy.

3. runaway train, soul asylum

I can go where no one else can go
I know what no one else knows
Here I am just drownin' in the rain
With a ticket for a runaway train

this song is sad, and overwhelming, and speaks so true. yes, it's about runaway kids, but there are lines about being jaded, and insanity, and so many other things i feel.

4. runaway, the corrs

I'm never gonna stop falling in love, with you

i mostly like this song because of the timing, the feeling, and...the really cute drummer lady.

5. return to innocence, enigma

If you want, then start to laugh
If you must, then start to cry
Be yourself dont hide
Just believe in destiny

a good message hidden within some really eerie and good music.

other songs i considered: rescue me, release me, respect, roxanne, rhiannon, round here, real world. there's a lot of good stuff in the r's.
